A video podcast from the surgeon side of medicine

Rounds

A video podcast with a neurosurgeon, an ENT surgeon, and the questions patients actually ask.

Two surgeon brothers work through a case, a condition, or a question the way doctors do on hospital rounds. Joe, a non physician host, asks what you would ask. What really happens before, during, and after the operating room, explained without the jargon.

English show. Season 1 coming soon. No fake dates, no fake play buttons, just the real lineup.

Test episode
Recorded August 2026. The brothers tested the format on camera. Season 1 builds on it.

Your hosts

Two brothers. Two specialties. One conversation.

Remi covers brain, spine, and nerves. Marc-Elie covers ear, nose, throat, head and neck, hearing, and balance. Joe keeps it in plain language.

Joe Hajj

Host and producer

Founder of Webivores. Joe drives the conversation, asks the patient questions nobody wants to feel embarrassed asking, and owns editing, publishing, and channel growth.

Dr. Remi Nader

Neurosurgeon, founder of the International Center for Neuroscience, Houston

Co host and expert in brain, spine, and nerves, at the International Center for Neuroscience. Remi explains when surgery helps, when it does not, and what recovery really looks like.

Dr. Marc-Elie Nader

Professor at MD Anderson, ENT surgeon and neurotologist

Co host and expert in ear, nose, throat, head and neck, hearing, and balance. Marc-Elie is Remi brother, which means real agreement, real disagreement, and real banter.

Plus a possible recurring guest, to be confirmed: Irish, nurse practitioner, who would bring the frontline and patient care view.

Start with a symptom

What are you trying to understand?

Pick a symptom. The Symptom Map shows the likely territory, which brother leads, the red flags, and where to learn more.

Red flag first: sudden worst ever headache, weakness, speech trouble, sudden hearing loss, or loss of bladder control needs urgent care, not a podcast. Call 911 for emergencies.

Recurring segments

Segment

Red Flag or Reassuring?

A symptom is put to both surgeons. Is it a sign to act now, or something that can safely be watched?

Segment

Myth of the Week

One common belief, tested against what surgeons actually see. Cracked knuckles, brain percentages, and more.

Segment

What the MRI Really Means

Report phrases translated into calm, plain language. Try the interactive decoder in Learn.

Segment

Two Specialists, One Symptom

One symptom, two territories. Dizziness, numbness, or neck pain, seen from brain and ear at once.

Segment

Would We Operate?

The honest test. Given this case, would each surgeon operate, treat, or watch? And why?

Your question could be next

Many segments start with a listener question, answered in general terms on the show.

Rounds for Professionals

New strand, coming soon

For the people who wear the white coat

Rounds also has a section reserved for medical professionals, kept separate from the patient content. Rounds is also for the people who wear the white coat, students to retirees. Both doctors have agreed to build a strand for professionals with Joe: how doctors invest and protect themselves, a letter of advice to medical students, and planning from the first year of training to retirement, produced together during the Texas visit. General education from experience, not personalized financial advice.

The Rounds Poll

Settle it like a waiting room would

Which of these scares you most?

One question, four worries, zero late night search spirals. Vote for the one that would send you down the rabbit hole, and see where you land. The winning worry becomes a segment: the doctors will discuss the winner on the show.

Next poll lands with the next episode. Regulars get a say in what the brothers argue about.

Latest Q&A

Answered in general terms

Ear and Hearing

Is tinnitus dangerous?

Usually it is a symptom, not a disease. One sided, pulsing, or sudden loss linked ringing should be checked promptly.

Spine

My MRI says degenerative disc disease. Do I need surgery?

In general terms, no. These changes are normal with age, and most are managed without surgery.

Brain

When is a headache an emergency?

A sudden worst ever headache, or one with weakness, speech, or vision change, needs urgent care. Call 911.
